Nothing adds instant elegance to a home like fine quality Window Treatments. Creating new panels, shades or valances can be like a mini-room makeover all by itself!
DRAPERY PANELS
Most designers agree that Drapery Panels give a room a formal and elegant look. They create a beautiful focal point in a formal dining room or living room.
Curtain and drapery rods do so much more for a room than hold up your curtains. Drapery rods are the ornamentation of the room and allow you to express your style. Even the most simple of drapery panels can be dramatized when hung from a decorative rod. Replace standard café rods with an iron or metal rod in a complementary finish to your décor.

VALANCES & TOP TREATMENTS Valances earn high style marks for topping your window, and much more: fabric Valances can also enhance a window's visual proportions or conceal the headrail of an undertreatment. My Valances and Swags are custom crafted with quality details such as pattern matching for a finished, seamless appearance even at the widest width (up to 10 feet!). Match or coordinate Valances with panels, drapery, blinds or shades for total décor harmony.
When it is important to let in the most light and not obstruct that perfect view, a window valance can be just the right touch. Window valances come in many different styles and can be used alone or with other window treatments such as drapes, sheers, blinds, or shutters.
A swag valance can be short or extend to the floor where it can even be pooled. The swag is held up by two decorative brackets. The width of the fabric is folded accordion style and then draped across the brackets. On wider windows, it may be necessary to support the centre of the swag with a hidden pin or bracket so that it doesn’t swoop too much. Here sheer or very light weight fabrics work well and even some heavier fabrics. |

ROMAN SHADES
Roman Shades offer clean, classic lines suitable for any taste or décor style. Most fabrics can be used to make roman shades. Styles are available to fit any decor or color scheme. The style of the shades is versatile and can be used as suitable window coverings in most windows. Cotton and linen window shades create an open and airy look to any window. Roman Shades made with cotton canvas can be lined for added privacy.
Roman shades come in several styles. The most traditional roman shades, folded roman shades, have evenly spaced overlapping folds. Soft Roman shades have soft overlapping folds. Flat roman shades are so called because they do not have horizontal seams and thus have no bumpy seam marks. The balloon Roman shade has box pleats on top and flowing balloon shaped folds below.
Roman shades can be adapted for a country look as well. Choose plaid, checked or a small floral print to give your shade a country flair. Mix a plain shade with a print topper if the print is busy. Make sure patterns don't clash with patterns in your furniture or area rugs. |
