I've been sewing and crafting since I was 18 years old. Although I have little or no formal training in my design or sewing crafts, I have decorated and furnished a total of six homes from coast-to-coast over the past 15 years. Talk about good practical experience!
Over the years – and through all my homes – I've come to enjoy a passion for beautifully appointed rooms, unique paint colors, vibrant fabrics and more. In fact it's grown into a flat out obsession: hence my nickname of 'fabric goddess!'. I am crazy for color.
Taking it a step farther: I think fabric textures, patterns and colors are just an extension of your own personal wardrobe. They reflect you and your personality.
So whether you are French Country... Modern City Chic... Totally Retro.... or Suburban Casual, I can help take YOUR ideas and visions to the next level of greatness. And if you need to borrow a few of my ideas and visions... you're more than welcome to them!
The Goddess’ “I’m not happy until you’re happy” Guarantee:
I can't state it any plainer: You must be happy with the sewing, window treatments – any project I produce. Period. I believe people should stand behind all their work and products with a clear cut guarantee of satisfaction. And that's what I do.
How I Work with Clients:
RATES
My basic hourly rate is $50.00 per hour. I will make an estimate of hours needed to complete your project and this will be included in your project estimate. I will make every attempt to stay within – or under – this estimate. My aim is to under-promise and over-deliver on your project!
If I encounter unexpected problems with your job and require more labor hours, I will inform you prior to going over the original estimated hours.
I do not charge for the initial consultation time to discuss and propose your project. Subsequent consultation rates are $50.00 per hour.
PROJECT ESTIMATE & DEPOSIT
I will submit a written estimate of the total costs of your project. This will include labor time and an estimate on materials that will I will need to supply (if applicable) in order to complete your project.
If you agree to the written estimate, I require a 50% deposit on the total project cost at the time of acceptance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Client will assume responsibility for correct measurement of windows, doors and other items. If I am requested to do measurements, you will incur a 2-hour minimum labor charge.
If a problem arises with fabric shortage, dyelot or trim, the customer will be notified immediately to remedy the problem.
All items are handmade and very effort is made to ensure a quick and efficient turnaround time.
PURCHASING MATERIALS & SUPPLIES
I have extensive online and wholesale supply resources available to purchase materials for your project. I am responsible for purchasing materials for most of my projects, and I reserve the right to mark up the costs based on research time and carrying the inventory. I’m also willing to work with materials and supplies sourced and purchased by my clients, and I will return any unused portions of their fabrics upon completion of the project.
DEADLINES
If you have a special deadline for your project, I will make every attempt to make this schedule. However, I cannot promise any delivery date due to the custom nature of each project.
PROJECT COMPLETION & DELIVERY
We will agree to the time and place of delivery at the time of the Project Estimate. I charge a $25 deliver fee for delivery of projects within a 20 mile radius of my work shop. For delivery of more than 20 miles, I will require a 2-hour labor charge for delivery.
The remainder of the project cost is due upon delivery, including any additional materials or labor charges as previously communicated to you during the project.
INSTALLATION
Due to my business insurance requirements and liability issues, I am not able to complete installation of any hardware for window treatments.
