The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a voluntary recall of over 50 million Roman shades and roll up blinds sold by Wal-Mart, Target, K-mart, JC Penney, Pottery Barn and other retailers to prevent the risk of strangulation to young children.

Consumers can obtain free retrofit kits for roman style fabric looped and flat panel shades and roll up blinds online at windowcoverings.org or by calling toll-free phone line at 1-800-506-4636.
